What is an E-organisation?

An E-organisation is a way for existing NGOs to go online, as well as an opportunity to start a new organisation online. It can function like a virtual office. For example, you can put your college MUN committee online to share documents, contact information, and to facilitate debate and communication.

How can I start an E-organisation?

Fill out the form http://www.youthportal.in/create_eorganisation.php. The details will be approved by us, and as soon as we do so, your E-organisation goes live. We might suggest that you start an Action Group instead, if we feel a group would serve your purposes better than an E-Organisation. Once approved, you will be able to customize the profile, invite people, manage your membership database, create departments, petitions, actions groups, events, and more.

Why can I not name my E-organisation what I want?

We require all E-organisations to have different names. Please ensure this key guideline is being followed if your E-organisation name has been rejected.

What is the different between E-organisations and Action groups?

An E-organisation is a feature that offers you a virtual office environment to run a large movement. You can manage communication between departments across the country, create and administer focused Action Groups within the E-organisation, and start Petitions, Square Tables and Events. An E-organisation can behave like an individual entity on the website.

If you are deciding between starting an E-organisation or an Action Group, consider how broad your focus is. For example, if you are a political party or a movement for a political ideology, start an E-organisation. Within the E-organisation you can create several departments, such as Publicity, Voter Registration Drive, Fundraising, etc. If you want to specifically start a voter registration drive in your area, start an Action group.

How private is my information?
